Ramesh Arvind would be playing the role of “Dharma” in the film

KD: The Devil would be the first pan India film of Prem

The film would be set in the 1970s

KD: The Devil which would see the collaboration between Sandalwood actor Dhruva Sarja also referred to as the “Action Prince” and director Prem known for blockbusters such as “Kariya” starring actor Darshan and “Jogi” starring actor Shivarajkumar has seen the addition of actor Ramesh Arvind to its ensemble cast. He would be playing the role of “Dharma” in the film. 

KD: The Devil would be the first pan India film of Prem. It will be released in 5 languages.  Actors Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty and V Ravichandran would also be featured in the film. Reshma Nanaiah would be reprising the role of the female lead alongside Dhruva Sarja. The film would be set in the 1970s. Efforts to recreate Bengaluru of the 1970s on the sets had taken more than one year to fructify. 

Dhruva Sarja would be playing the role of the titular character KD which is the short form for Kalidasa. In the teaser which was released, the character is introduced as a criminal being released from jail. Kalidasa can be seen walking out with a body in a gunny bag. “This movie is very special to me. Six is my lucky number and this is my 6th film. I am really looking forward to the film. Also, this is just the beginning and we will start shooting soon.” Sarja had said at the time of the release of the trailer.
