Karnataka: Ramesh Jigajigani’s recurrent health issues may affect Lok Sabha ambitions

Member of Parliament (MP) from Vijayapura Ramesh Jigajinagi has been faced with health difficulties. This has been a recurrent occurrence over the last few months for him. This has added to the woes of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha election. 

Reports suggest that Ramesh Jigajagaini has been affected by brain haemorrhage. He has been admitted to the KLE hospital in Belagavi. He is presently in the Intensive Care Unit. The doctors have conveyed that his condition is critical at the moment. 

On 28th January, while he was enroute Belagavi, he experienced chest pain near Beelagi. He was admitted to a private hospital in Bagalkot. He responded to the treatment and eventually recovered from the complication. He has in the past expressed his desire to contest from Vijayapura again. He even publicly stated that he would likely get hold of the BJP ticket for the constituency. However owing to recurrent health problems and old age, his ambitions may be curtailed. His well wishers are praying for his good health in light of these recent developments.
