    Netherlands are amidst a week-long training camp in Alur Grounds

The 2nd One Day International between Netherlands and Karnataka took part in the Alur Grounds located in the outskirts of Bengaluru. Netherlands batted first and managed to post a competitive score of 296 on the back of an 81-ball 79 by Colin Ackerman, the all rounder hailing from South Africa. Ryan Klien and captain Scott Edwards also contributed with 46 and 42 respectively.  Manoj Bhandage, Praveen Dubey, Pranav Bhatia and M Venkatesh picked up 2 wickets each in Karnataka’s bowling efforts. Karnataka did not have it easy when they stepped out to bat with Netherland bowling unit managing to get wickets at regular intervals. Manish Pandey however succeeded in scoring a century with support from K.L Shrijith who managed to score a 61-ball 73 and Karnataka inched its way to a one wicket victory with more than 10 overs to spare. 

Netherlands are amidst a week-long training camp for their preparation for the world cup. 

“We have a community of 6500 people who are passionate cricket-lovers, not more. We’re a country of 1.8 million, so you can see how small it is. Still, the kind of interest and appreciation we’ve received for getting this far has been immense. Hopefully it’s just the start,” O’Dowd said in a media interaction held in the Alur Grounds.
