The registration process for the Karnataka government’s Yuva Nidhi scheme,which guarantees a monthly stipend of Rs 3000 for graduates passed out in the year 2023 unable to find employment for more than 6 months, would start on the 26th of December. In a program that would commence at 11 AM in the Vidhana Soudha, Chief Minister Siddramaiah would be at the helm of affairs. The Minister of Finance of India, Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Development and Entrepreneurship of India, Rajeev Chandrashekar and other prominent personalities would be part of the proceedings. The facility to register oneself for the scheme would be available after the event. 

The Yuva Nidhi scheme will stop being applicable to those who are able to secure a job. If it is assessed that an individual is availing the scheme despite being employed, the money would be retrieved from him or her. The government will also initiate legal action in such cases. More than 10 lakh youngsters will benefit from the scheme. More than Rs 250 crore has been invested in this scheme by the government. To sustain this scheme for the next year, Rs 1250 crore would be needed. The registration portal will be active until the 25th of each month. The registration can take place in the Kannada One, Bapuji Seva Kendra and the Grama one kendras. It is essential that the applicants must have completed their SSLC and PUC degrees in Karnataka. For Diploma holders, it is essential that their education since class 9 must have occurred in Karnataka.
