Dengue cases are on the rise again in Karnataka, sparking concern among health officials and residents. According to official data, 3,278 dengue cases have been reported across the state so far this year. The highest number of infections has been recorded within the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) limits, which account for 1,772 cases.

Outside the BBMP region, the rest of Karnataka has recorded 1,506 dengue cases, indicating that while urban areas are heavily affected, rural and semi-urban districts are not far behind.
Despite the sharp spike in cases, no dengue-related deaths have been reported in the state so far. Health authorities continue to monitor the situation and are urging citizens to take preventive measures such as avoiding stagnant water, using mosquito repellents, and seeking early medical attention for symptoms like fever, body ache, and rashes.
BBMP officials have intensified fogging, awareness drives, and door-to-door inspections to control mosquito breeding, especially in high-density neighborhoods and construction zones.
