In a bold push to position itself as a global innovation hub, the Government of Karnataka has established over 20 Centres of Excellence (CoEs) across the state. These centres are set to drive the next wave of technological advancement, research, and industry collaboration in critical domains.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister Shri D.K. Shivakumar, and spearheaded by the Department of Electronics, IT & Bt, Karnataka is nurturing a future-ready ecosystem focused on deep tech, fintech, healthtech, and sustainable solutions.
Key Centres of Excellence include:
- Center of Excellence in Space Tech
- Fintech Center of Excellence
- Quantum Research Park at IISc
- Center of Excellence in Efficiency Augmentation
- Center of Excellence in Design
- Center of Excellence in Aqua-Marine Innovation
- Centre of Excellence in Healthtech and Medtech
- Wired and Wireless Technologies
Each centre aims to accelerate research, skilling, and industry-grade solutions by bringing together academia, startups, and corporates. These initiatives are expected to boost employment, attract global partnerships, and strengthen Karnataka’s lead in India’s digital economy.
The state’s visionary approach under the leadership of Minister Priyank Kharge ensures that Karnataka stays ahead in the innovation race, with Bengaluru at its core, transforming into a smart, knowledge-driven tech capital for the future.
