Karnataka: Suicide suspected as Bengaluru techie’s body found below Rani Jhari View Point

A three-day search operation was underway as 30-year-old Bharat who had gone for trekking in Chikmagalur was not reachable. His T-Shirt, mobile and mobile were found at the bottom of the hills. The search operation was a joint operation involving forest department officials and officials in the Baaluru Police Station. His body was found right below the Rani Jhari View Point. This has given rise to speculations of suicide. However, the police have not filed an official report on the matter so far. 

His fall is estimated to have been from a height of 4000 feet. The body was found in a decomposed state with maggots present all over it. 

On December 6th when contact with Bharat ceased, his relatives travelled all the way from Bengaluru to Chikmagalur to file a complaint. 25 personnel and 7 drone cameras were involved in the search process. The search began in the Maidadi region and his body was eventually recovered in the Belthangady taluk on December 9th. 

Bharat was recently laid off from his company after being given a salary of three months. Bharat was an engineering graduate. His friends and family are in a state of grief.
