In a bid to enhance public convenience, the Karnataka state government has announced that select Sub-Registrar Offices across the state will operate on weekends beginning June 1. A total of 35 offices have been designated to offer services during weekends. The move is expected to streamline property registration and documentation processes by easing weekday congestion.

In Bengaluru, the Sub-Registrar Offices located in Basavanagudi, Gandhinagar, Jayanagar, Rajajinagar, and Shivajinagar will be open during the newly designated weekend hours. Offices in other districts, including Devanahalli, Chitradurga, Bagepalli, Davanagere, and Ramanagara, will also remain operational on Sundays.

The extended working hours are expected to not only reduce crowds on weekdays but also improve overall efficiency in service delivery. Citizens seeking to complete property-related formalities such as registration and documentation can now plan their visits around the new schedule.

This development marks a significant step toward citizen-centric governance and is part of ongoing efforts to modernize and streamline administrative services in Karnataka.
