The sight of an aloof elephant prompted travellers to take a decision to click selfies. Madness unfolded as a result of this. The incident occurred when 2 tourists on their way to Kerala from the Bandipur forest decided to take photos of the elephant.

The elephant chased the individuals when they attempted to take a photo. The two of them ran for their lives. While running one of the individuals tripped and fell.

The elephant attempted to stamp him but he creeped his way out of it. His life was saved by a whisker. The elephant then turned back and returned to where it was before the individuals attempted to grab a photo. The visuals of this incident were captured on a camera. It has since then become viral on social media. “Such incidents are getting normal here in Bandipur. Forget being illegal most people don't even understand how dangerous it is to get down in the middle of the forest,. To make it worse the forest dept collects tolls middle of the forest . Imagine(sic),” a user commented on the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter). Other tourists with whom the individuals travelled can be heard screaming when the Elephant charged towards them.
