The victim, a mother of two, had been staying with her parents after a marital fallout with her husband Vishwanath, whom she married 13 years ago. During this period, she formed a close friendship with Santosh, a friend of her estranged husband. However, this bond enraged Santosh’s wife, Bindushri, who viewed it as a threat. Driven by paranoia, Bindushri reportedly hired Satish Reddy to eliminate her perceived rival.
To gain the trust of his target, Satish enrolled as a student in the victim's yoga class, pretending to be an eager learner. Over time, he manipulated her into taking gun-shooting lessons, an odd request for someone teaching yoga, but one the victim naively complied with. The true purpose of this reason became evident in the following weeks.
On what seemed like a routine trip to their training session, Satish and his accomplices struck. Once inside the car, their sinister intentions unfolded. They abducted the woman and, when she attempted to raise the alarm, they used intimidation to silence her. During her captivity, she suffered a brutal physical assault and was even disrobed as part of a cruel plan. The perpetrators, believing they had killed her, buried her and fled the scene.
In a remarkable turn of events, the instructor feigned death throughout the assault. As soon as her captors left, she clawed her way out and found her way back home, arriving at 5:30 a.m., barely clinging to life. Her resilience and presence of mind saved her.
Police swiftly apprehended Bindushri, Satish Reddy, and the accomplices. All are now behind bars, facing serious charges. Authorities have described the case as a chilling reminder of how jealousy and paranoia can spiral into unspeakable violence.
