Bagalkote BJP District President Shanthagouda Patil has made a strong political statement, declaring that BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra is certain to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka in 2028. He described Vijayendra’s rise as inevitable, drawing loud cheers and applause from party workers.

Speaking at the BJP office in Bilagi town during a public awareness programme of the VB-G RAM G scheme, Patil said the leadership wave in favour of Vijayendra is visible across the state. He stated that wherever party leaders travel, people refer to B.S. Yediyurappa as “our Yediyurappa” and Vijayendra as “our party president”, reflecting deep public trust and emotional connection.

Patil said that just as Yediyurappa became Chief Minister after visiting the region, the same political destiny awaits Vijayendra. He asserted that villagers across Karnataka are already predicting Vijayendra’s rise to the top post.

“The truth of Vijayendra becoming Chief Minister in 2028 is as certain as the sunrise,” Patil declared, evoking a massive response from party cadres. His remarks were met with loud cheers, whistles and claps, reflecting strong grassroots backing.

The statement was made in the presence of BJP State Vice-President and former minister Murugesh Nirani, adding political weight to the declaration. The programme was held in Bilagi Assembly constituency, which is represented by Murugesh Nirani.

Patil further said that the overwhelming public affection and growing acceptance of Vijayendra’s leadership indicate a major political shift in Karnataka. According to him, the party workers’ enthusiasm and the people’s confidence clearly signal the direction of future leadership.

The remarks have generated significant political discussion, as the BJP prepares its long-term strategy for the 2028 Assembly elections. Patil’s open endorsement positions Vijayendra as a strong contender and highlights growing internal support within the party structure.
