KREDL gave CM Siddaramaiah a Rs 77.17 crore dividend for 2024-25 profits and donated Rs 5 crore to the CM’s Relief Fund at KPCL office

Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) has contributed a substantial dividend of Rs 77.17 crore to the Karnataka government for the financial year 2024-25. The cheque was formally presented to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by Energy Minister K.J. George during a ceremony held at the Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) office on Thursday.

KREDL reported a net profit of Rs 257.25 crore in 2024-25, of which 30 percent was distributed as dividend, amounting to Rs 77,17,50,000. This contribution underscores the company’s role in supporting the state’s energy sector while also strengthening government revenues.

In addition to the dividend, KREDL extended further support by donating Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. This gesture is aimed at aiding welfare initiatives and emergency relief measures undertaken by the state.

The event was attended by MLA T.D. Rajegowda, Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy Department Gaurav Gupta, Cradle Managing Director K.P. Rudrappaiah, and senior officials. The presence of key leaders highlighted the importance of the contribution, which is expected to bolster both fiscal resources and public welfare programs.

The dual donation reflects Cradle’s commitment to corporate responsibility and its partnership with the state in driving development.
