A lavish bungalow in Ashwath Nagar has become the centre of fear after four members linked to the same family died by suicide, sparking questions over repeated tragedies.
A sprawling bungalow named ‘Saanidhya’ in Shivamogga’s Ashwath Nagar has now earned a grim reputation after a chain of suicides inside the residence. What was once a symbol of wealth and status has, over the past 18 months, witnessed four suicides, leaving the neighbourhood deeply unsettled.
The residence belongs to the family of gynaecologist Dr. Jayashree Hommaraddi, associated with Hommaraddi Hospital. Locals say fear has gripped the area, with many referring to the home as “a place shadowed by death.”

Police records indicate that the first suicide inside the house was that of Dr. Nagraj Hommaraddi, the head of the family. Sometime later, Navashree, the wife of Dr. Nagraj’s son Akash, also died by suicide.
The latest and most shocking turn came recently when Dr. Jayashree was found dead on the ground floor of the bungalow, and her son Akash Hommaraddi was discovered dead on the first floor. Both reportedly left behind individual death notes, and Akash is said to have transferred his property to his second wife before taking his life.

Adding to the mystery, residents recall that the original owner of the house, Rajshekhar, had passed away from illness shortly after the bungalow was constructed.

With four suicides and one earlier death linked to the same residence, questions are rising:
Is the home associated with emotional turmoil? Were the victims under severe personal stress? Or is it merely a tragic sequence of unrelated incidents?
Police have stated that only a detailed investigation will confirm the real cause behind the repeated deaths.
