Darshan, accused in the high-profile Chitradurga Renukaswamy murder case, appeared via video conference and made a startling request before the court, leaving many shocked.

The sensational Renukaswamy murder case trial in Chitradurga took an unexpected turn as Kannada actor Darshan made a shocking plea before the court. Appearing via video conference in a black T-shirt with hands tied at the back, Darshan stunned everyone by requesting permission to be given poison.

“Life here has become unbearable. My clothes stink, I haven’t seen sunlight for days. I can’t survive like this. Give me p*oison, only for me, not for anyone else,” Darshan told the judge, leaving the courtroom in disbelief.

The defense lawyer also moved an application seeking Darshan’s release from the case, while another request was made to shift him to Ballari jail.
The judge firmly rejected Darshan’s plea for poison, remarking that such demands could not be entertained. However, the court assured that directions would be issued to the jail superintendent to improve conditions for the accused.

The trial, which also involves Pavithra Gowda and five others connected to the case, has been adjourned to September 19, with the final order on Darshan’s transfer to Ballari expected by 3 PM.

The Supreme Court recently cancelled the bail of Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and five others in the Renukaswamy murder case. The apex court issued strict warnings to prison authorities, making it clear that no VIP treatment must be given to the accused. If found otherwise, the responsible jail officials would face immediate suspension.

The Renukaswamy case continues to grip Karnataka, as each hearing reveals new drama in one of the state’s most sensational crime trials.
