The Karnataka government has released the official list of public holidays for 2026, outlining the days on which government offices, banks, and most educational institutions across the state will remain closed. The calendar includes a comprehensive mix of national holidays, state observances, and religious festivals celebrated by different communities in the state.

These days will be marked by government ceremonies, flag hoisting events, cultural programmes, and closure of public offices. Republic Day, which begins the year’s holiday list, honours the adoption of the Indian Constitution in 1950.
