Preparatory Mathematics question paper reportedly circulated on WhatsApp a day before the scheduled II PUC examination
A serious lapse has surfaced in Karnataka’s pre-university examination system after the II PUC preparatory Mathematics question paper was allegedly leaked a day before the exam. The issue has triggered concern among students, parents and educators, raising questions over exam security and fairness.
According to information available, the Mathematics question paper meant for today’s II PUC preparatory examination was circulated widely on WhatsApp on the previous day itself. Despite this, the Pre-University Examination Board went ahead and conducted the exam using the same question paper.

The leaked paper reportedly carried a total of 80 marks and consisted of 47 questions. Screenshots and copies of the question paper were allegedly shared across multiple student WhatsApp groups, giving some candidates prior access to the exact questions that appeared in the examination hall.
The examination, which was scheduled and conducted today, proceeded without any reported last-minute changes, even though the same question paper had already surfaced online. This has led to allegations of serious negligence and has sparked anger among students who appeared for the test without prior access to the leaked content.
The development has once again brought the integrity of the PU examination system under scrutiny. Students and parents are now demanding a thorough probe into how the preparatory question paper was leaked, who was responsible, and why corrective action was not taken before the exam was conducted.
