  • Three skeletons found near Point 11 in Dharmasthala case
  • One believed to be a woman; saree discovered nearby
  • SIT praised for flexible, scientific investigation

In a stunning development in the Dharmasthala case, the SIT, acting on revised inputs from the complainant, has discovered three human skeletons, one of them believed to be a woman, near the previously surveyed Point No. 11.

The Dharmasthala case took a dramatic turn on its sixth day, as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) unearthed three human skeletons near Point No. 11 in a forested area. According to advocate Manjunath, who represents Sujatha Bhat, the remains were located roughly 100 meters away from the original site, on a hilltop around 100 feet high.

One of the skeletons is suspected to belong to a woman, based on the discovery of a saree at the site. The breakthrough came after the SIT permitted complainant to modify his original markings and lead the team to a new nearby location. This flexibility proved pivotal, as the exhumation team successfully recovered the skeletal remains from the revised site.

The operation wasn’t without risks, several team members reportedly slipped while climbing the hill to access the dig site. However, the SIT’s decision to allow the complainant to revise his initial claims has been praised as both scientific and logical. Advocate Manjunath, press release, emphasized that denying the complainant the chance to correct earlier measurements would have hindered the investigation.
