Strict security, heavy police deployment, social media monitoring, and legal action planned to ensure smooth, fair, and safe conduct of PUC and SSLC examinations across the state.
With the Second PUC and SSLC examinations set to begin, the Karnataka Police Department has gone on high alert to ensure that the exams are conducted safely, smoothly, and without any irregularities. A series of strict measures have been introduced to prevent question paper leaks, cheating networks, and the spread of false information.
The Second PUC examinations will start on February 28 and continue till March 17, while the SSLC examinations are scheduled from March 18 to April 2.
To ensure transparency and security during both exam periods, the police department has prepared a detailed action plan.As part of the security arrangements, a large number of police officers and staff have been deployed at examination centres across the state. Security has been tightened to safeguard question papers, answer scripts, and examination halls. Special attention is being given to prevent any attempts at malpractice or organised cheating.

Police are also closely monitoring syndicates involved in exam-related fraud, including those attempting question paper leaks and cheating rackets. Social media platforms are under strict surveillance to identify and act against those spreading false or misleading information that could misguide students and parents or create panic.
Authorities have warned that anyone found engaging in examination malpractice, including circulating rumours, threats, or fake alerts, will face strict legal action. Criminal cases will be registered against individuals who misuse social media to spread misleading content related to the exams.
In addition, people who were involved in examination irregularities in previous years are being closely tracked to prevent repeat offences. Police teams have been instructed to maintain continuous vigilance before and during the exams.

To ensure complete safety and avoid any disturbances, Section 163 of the BNSS has been imposed around all examination centres. Under this order, public gatherings are strictly prohibited within a 200-metre radius of the centres, preventing unauthorised assembly and ensuring a calm environment for students.
The Karnataka Police have appealed to students and parents to rely only on official information and to report any suspicious activity immediately. The department has assured that all necessary steps have been taken to conduct the PUC and SSLC examinations in a fair, transparent, and secure manner across the state.
