Bengaluru Police arrest Pavithra Gowda, the prime accused (A1) in the high-profile Renukaswamy murder case, following a Supreme Court order cancelling her bail today.

Gowda, who had been residing at her home in RR Nagar, was taken into custody hours after the apex court directed her immediate arrest. Earlier in the day, she had visited the Rajarajeshwari temple to offer prayers before returning home, where police officers were stationed in anticipation of the verdict’s execution.

According to sources, RR Nagar police had been monitoring her movements closely after receiving the court order. Once confirmation arrived, officers moved in and detained her without incident. She is now in police custody for further legal proceedings.

The arrest comes as part of an intensified crackdown on the accused in the Renukaswamy case. Just earlier in the day, police also apprehended Pradush, the 14th accused in the case. Investigators are continuing efforts to round up all those named in the charge sheet.

Still at large are several other key suspects, including Kannada actor Darshan, Jagadish, Anukumar, Nagaraj, and Lakshman. Authorities have not disclosed whether Darshan will surrender voluntarily or face a direct arrest.

With Gowda and Pradush in custody, police say they are working systematically to bring in the remaining accused. The case, which has attracted widespread public and media attention, continues to unfold in the Karnataka capital.
