India’s Intelligence Bureau has reportedly intercepted communications, including phone calls and messages, revealing plans for fresh attacks by militants in Kashmir. These communications suggest that terror groups are preparing for retaliatory strikes after the destruction of their safe houses.

There are indications that sleeper cells have become more active across Jammu and Kashmir following the Pahalgam incident. Intelligence reports warn of possible large-scale attacks and targeted killings being planned by the militants. As a result, the Indian Army has deployed additional forces, including Special Operations Groups, to prevent further incidents and enhance security.

Due to the heightened threat, authorities have temporarily shut down 48 tourist destinations across the Union Territory, out of a total of 87. Popular spots like Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and Dal Lake have been closed to tourists. Security has been significantly increased at all key tourist locations to prevent any possible terror activity and ensure the safety of the civilians.
