Just before singing “Firework,” Katy paused, looked overwhelmed and wiped away tears. She then made a heart with her hands and told the crowd, “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia.” Fans responded with cheers and support, helping her continue the performance with renewed energy.
Many praised her strength online too, calling her performance both powerful and brave. Some were reminded of 2011, when she had broken down during a concert after her split from comedian Russell Brand.
While Katy and Orlando have not officially confirmed the breakup, their recent social media activity has hinted at it. Orlando shared a message about “new chapters,” while Katy posted peaceful beach photos, suggesting she is focusing on healing.
Despite her personal struggles, Katy delivered a strong performance, showing her deep connection with fans and using music as a way to express and overcome her emotions as well.
