Keerthy revealed that her casting in the film came about thanks to fellow actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who played a significant role in the original Tamil version. "When the filmmakers decided to remake Theri in Hindi, Samantha suggested my name for the role," Keerthy reportedly shared. "I was initially apprehensive, but Samantha's encouragement and support gave me the confidence to take it on. Playing a character she brought to life was both thrilling and challenging."
Keerthy’s portrayal in Baby John has already drawn comparisons to Samantha's performance in the Tamil version. However, the actress has put her unique spin on the role, bringing freshness to the character for a new audience.
Directed by Atlee, who helmed the original Theri, Baby John blends action and drama, appealing to fans of both Southern and Bollywood cinema. Keerthy's entry into Bollywood marks another milestone in her flourishing career, as she seamlessly transitions between regional and Hindi films.
