Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 2  (T2) in Bengaluru has become the first in India to receive the coveted 5-star Airport Terminal Rating from Skytrax, a globally recognized standard for excellence in airport services. This significant achievement highlights the terminal’s commitment to providing a world-class travel experience.

The 5-star rating is awarded after a rigorous audit covering more than 800 passenger service aspects across 30+ categories. These include areas such as terminal architecture, hygiene, security measures, digital integration, passenger services, accessibility, hospitality and environmental sustainability. The audit ensures that every element of a passenger’s journey meets the highest global standards. 

This recognition puts Bengaluru firmly on the global aviation map and is a testament to the efforts  of the airport’s team and stakeholders.
