‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ starring Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles will be released on July 26th. Although it was assumed that Hugh Jackman’s last movie in the role of the mutant superhero Wolverine was Logan, fans are excited to see him in the role on the screen yet again. “The notion that, all these years later, we’re in a world where Jackman is Wolverine, and Deadpool and all of those X-Men characters are together under the same roof, is a pretty amazing quarter-of-a-century experience,” Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige said in an interaction with Entertainment Weekly

Kevin revealed that although Hugh Jackman had auditioned for the role, he was initially not under consideration for the role. “There was a scramble to get our Wolverine. Lauren was very excited about this Australian guy, who had been rejected initially. In my memory, one of the main reasons was that he was too tall. Wolverine in the comics is called ‘Lil’ Fireplugs’ sometimes. He’s a short guy. But they were desperate,” Kevin stated. The role however became a defining moment in Hugh Jackaman’s career. Hugh Jackman recalled that Kevin had taken him to have a steak dinner after his audition in Canada.
