The Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium in Bengaluru, well-known as M Chinnaswamy Stadium, has been selected as the venue for five matches during the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
These matches are scheduled to take place on the following dates: October 20th, October 26th, November 4th, November 9th, and November 12th.
The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 is set to commence on October 5th. This marks India's return as the host nation for the ODI World Cup after a gap of ten years. The tournament is spread across ten Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Dharamsala, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
Notably, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Karnataka, holds the distinction of being the world's first stadium to harness solar panels for electricity generation. With a history spanning five decades, this stadium has hosted numerous significant events. Moreover, it serves as the home ground for one of the most cherished IPL (Indian Premier League) teams, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
