A shocking double murder has come to light involving a Bengaluru-based businessman and his son, who was an active member of the BJP Yuva Morcha. The father-son duo, Veeraswamy Reddy and Prashanth Reddy, were abducted and killed in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district in what investigators believe to be a pre-planned crime.

The two had travelled from Kadugodi, Bengaluru, to attend a court hearing related to a cheque bounce case in Narasaraopet. Shortly after arriving near the court complex, they were reportedly kidnapped by unknown assailants near a nearby eatery.
Their bodies were discovered later in Santhamaguluru, a remote location in neighbouring Bapatla district. Both had suffered fatal neck injuries, indicating a cold-blooded murder. The brutality and precision of the attack have led police to suspect it was orchestrated with clear intent and possibly linked to personal or legal disputes.
Prashanth Reddy’s political involvement as a member of the BJP’s youth wing has added a political layer to the case, prompting intense scrutiny. Joint investigations are currently underway by Palnadu and Bapatla police, who are working to identify the attackers and trace the vehicle used during the abduction.
The motive behind the murders is yet to be established. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage, phone records, and court attendance logs to piece together the sequence of events leading to the killings.
