Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) Virat Kohli, fondly dubbed "King Kohli", has seized the Orange Cap—but only just. The veteran batsman edged past Gujarat Titans' Sai Sudharsan by a solitary run to claim the top scorer’s honour. Kohli has amassed 505 runs from 11 matches, including a blistering 62-run knock against Chennai, studded with 5 fours and 5 sixes. Sudharsan follows closely with 504 runs in 10 games, making the competition razor-thin.

Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav also remains in contention, standing third with 475 runs from 11 matches. The Orange Cap continues to change hands frequently, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, the Purple Cap for most wickets has brought pride to Karnataka as well. Gujarat Titans’ pacer and Kannadiga, Prasidh Krishna, leads with 19 wickets, surpassing RCB’s Josh Hazlewood, who has taken 18. Both are delivering match-winning performances as their teams eye playoff spots.

With individual records pushing boundaries and team battles heating up, IPL 2025 is shaping into one of the most thrilling seasons yet.
