Upcoming Indian cricketing sensation Venkatesh Iyer announced his engagement through a post on Instagram. Venkatesh Iyer has gotten engaged to Shruti Raghunathan. Shruti has completed a B.com from PSG College of Arts and Science and has a Master’s degree in Fashion Management from NIFT, India. She is currently working as a Merchandise Planner at Lifestyle International Private Limited in Bengaluru, Karnataka. “On to the next chapter of my life, engaged,” he captioned his Instagram post. Many cricketers wished him on this occasion. This included Maharashtrian batsman Rituraj Gaikwad and Punjab batsman Mandeep Singh. Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree also wished him on this occasion.

Venkatesh Iyer has not been included in the T20 series against Australia that would commence on the 23th of November in Visakhapatnam. He scored 404 runs at an average of 28.6 in the year’s Indian Premier League for the Kolkata Knight Riders with an impressive strike rate of 145.85. He was not seen with the ball although he is fairly competent as a medium pace bowler as well.
