After winning the toss and electing to field, DC were put under pressure early as RCB stormed to 50 in just 2.6 overs, driven by Phil Salt’s fiery 37. However, DC clawed back brilliantly, using two strategic timeouts wisely and making key breakthroughs. Rajat Patidar’s 25 and Tim David’s unbeaten 37 pushed RCB to a respectable 163/7, but it fell short on a batting-friendly surface.
DC’s chase got off to a shaky start, struggling at 58/4 in 8.4 overs, with three wickets falling inside the Powerplay. But KL Rahul held the innings together with a majestic innings of 93 off 53 balls*, laced with 7 fours and 6 sixes. He found a reliable partner in Tristan Stubbs, who scored a steady 38*, and the duo stitched a 100-run stand for the fifth wicket.
Despite RCB’s attempt to claw back with a late review and some sharp bowling, Delhi cruised to victory in 17.5 overs. With this win, DC showcased their depth and composure, while RCB will reflect on missed opportunities after their explosive start fizzled.
