The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) is set to introduce its own idli and dosa batter under the Nandini brand in Bengaluru, stepping into a market currently led by private players like iD, Asal, and MTR. Nandini’s batter will stand out for its whey protein base, which KMF claims will enhance both flavor and texture. Priced competitively, the new product is expected to attract a large share of Bengaluru’s working population, particularly tech professionals who prefer quick breakfast solutions.

Originally planned for an August launch, the product release was delayed but is now expected soon, with a formal date awaiting confirmation from the Chief Minister. After gauging demand in Bengaluru, KMF plans to expand the product to other cities.

Nandini, already a household name in dairy products, is expanding its portfolio, which includes milk, curd, ghee, bread, and yogurt. KMF also has plans for geographical expansion, with Nandini fresh dairy products now available across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Plans to enter the Delhi market are underway.

Additionally, Nandini has become a prominent sports sponsor, backing the Indian Super League, the Pro Kabaddi League, and international cricket teams, further raising its brand profile.
