Tandon, a global business leader and elder sister of former PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, has made remarkable contributions to both the corporate and music worlds. While accepting the award, she expressed her gratitude, saying, "Music is love, music is light, and music is laughter. Let’s all be surrounded by love, light, and laughter. Thank you to everyone who makes music."
Born in Chennai, Tandon studied at Madras Christian College and later earned a master’s degree from IIM Ahmedabad. She broke barriers as the first Indian-American woman partner at McKinsey & Company. Alongside her professional achievements, she trained in Hindustani, Carnatic, and Western music, launching her debut album Soul Call in 2009, which was Grammy-nominated in 2011.
Released on August 30, 2024, Triveni is Tandon’s sixth album, featuring seven tracks including Pathway to Light, Journey Within, and Seeking Shakti. Celebrating the win, she praised her fellow nominees, calling it an “extra special moment”.
