Most of us get exhausted by the time we complete our graduation or post graduation studies. But, here is a man who has successfully completed and obtained 20 university degrees. He also cleared UPSC exams twice.

He is Shrikant Jichkar, the man who is seen as the most educated person in India. He completed his first MBBS degree and obtained his MD from Nagpur. After this, he continued his studies for many more years and obtained degree after degree between 1973 and 1990.

He was born at Katol in Maharashtra on September 14 in 1954. He has obtained 20 university degrees. He has degrees in Bachelor of Laws, Master of Laws in international law, Master of Business Administration, Doctor of Business Management, Bachelor of Journalism, Doctor of Literature in Sanskrit, ten Masters of Arts degrees in public administration, sociology, economics, Sanskrit, history, English literature, philosophy, political science, ancient Indian history, culture & archaeology and Psychology. He was a meritorious student and obtained several gold medals for his degrees. He has appeared for 42 university examinations between 1973 and 1990.

He cleared UPSC exam in 1978 and served the Indian Police Service for two years and in 1980 he cleared UPSC again and became an IAS officer. After few weeks of becoming an IAS officer, he contested election and became an MLA.

He was a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly  between 1980 and 1985, and as a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council  between 1986 and 1992. He was also the Minister of State, Government of Maharashtra. He was also a Rajya Sabha member and remain an MP between 1992 and 1998.

He founded Sàndipani school in Nagpur. He met with an unfortunate car accident at Kondhali near Nagpur and died at a young age of 49 on June 2 in 2004.
