Kodagu: Tragedy ensues as youth uncovers true face of his love interest

All is fair in love and war, the saying goes, but for 27-year-old Ajith hailing from the Haathuru village, located in the Ponnampete taluk of the Kodagu district, the love itself was faked for looting him of more than Rs 12 lakh. He had met K. Binya, belonging to the Parakattageri village, 4 years before. Their relationship blossomed into an affair. Blind with love, he showered with jewelries and money amounting to Rs 12 Lakh. She had him believe that they would be married in the near future. Binya however formed ties with P.M Kiran Kumar working in a Kodagu tea estate and eloped with him with the money. 

Ajith could not bear the pain and committed suicide by consuming poison. In his suicide note, he has claimed that Binya has duped 8-9 men in a similar fashion. Binya and Kiran Kumar have been apprehended by the Gonekoppa police and investigations are underway.
