Kohli to be gifted with diamond studded bat

A Surat-based diamond businessman has decided to gift Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, with a 1.04-carat-diamond studded bat. The businessman is an adherent fan of the game of cricket and Virat Kohli as well.

The cost of the bat is around Rs 10 lakh. The width of the bat would range from 5 mm to 15 mm. Utpal Mistry, Director of Lexus Softmac Company was entrusted with this task due to expertise in the domain of diamond technology. It took about one month to assemble this bat. It has currently been dispatched to obtain certification that it has indeed been made by natural diamond and not manufactured in a laboratory.

  "A top cricketer of the country was to be gifted a natural diamond bat. It is very difficult without a machine to tell the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond when it is prepared. You won't be able to tell by looking at it with your eyes. Now the diamond trader, who wanted to gift the diamond bat to the big cricketer, said that it should be known only by seeing that it is a natural diamond and not a lab-grown diamond," Utpal Mistry said in an interaction with India Today.
