A man accused of killing a 24-year-old woman inside her hostel in Koramangala has been arrested in Madhya Pradesh. The accused, identified as Abhishek, fled to Madhya Pradesh after brutally murdering Kriti Kumari on the night of July 23. The Bengaluru police will now question him to ascertain the motive behind the crime.

The 22-year-old victim, who worked at a private company, was a colleague of the attacker's girlfriend.
Police reported that Abhishek sneaked into the PG hostel and attacked Kriti near her room on the third floor around 11:30 pm on Tuesday. Kriti died on the spot after sustaining multiple stab wounds. Chilling CCTV footage showed the accused approaching Kriti's room, knocking on the door, and then dragging her out before stabbing her.
A preliminary investigation suggested that the murderer was known to the victim. The police also criticized the PG hostel owner for negligence. A case was registered, and a team was formed to apprehend the suspect, leading to Abhishek's capture in Madhya Pradesh.
The incident has shocked the community, highlighting concerns about safety in women's hostels. Further details are awaited as the investigation continues.
