Sahil Bagla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic East Division), confirmed the temporary restriction and announced that effective diversions and alternate routes have been arranged to ease commuter inconvenience.

The restricted stretch lies along the Coca-Cola Godown Road connecting Benniganahalli (Sadananda Nagar Bridge) to Old Madras Road. Movement of all types of vehicles will be prohibited on this route during the construction period.

Alternative Routes:

  1. Towards Kasturinagar from Old Madras Road (via Benniganahalli Railway Bridge): Commuters can take the DOT Bypass via Hebbal to reach Kasturinagar smoothly.
  2. From Kasturinagar towards Old Madras Road: Vehicles can travel via Sadananda Nagar and then take the NGEF Signal route to access Old Madras Road.

These alternative paths are expected to mitigate traffic congestion in the affected area while allowing uninterrupted construction activity. Commuters are urged to cooperate with traffic authorities and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays.

Traffic police will be stationed across diversion points to guide drivers and ensure a smooth flow of vehicles. Authorities have requested the public to use navigation apps or follow updates from the traffic department for real-time information.
