K-RIDE holds welfare training programme for first aid, CPR for officers

As a part of the safety and welfare initiative, a comprehensive training programme on first aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Height Safety was held for officers and employees of K-RIDE by Dr HD Chandrashekar, Principal, Institute of Occupational Health and Industrial Safety, today (May 23), at Corporate office, KRIDE, Bengaluru. The training programme aimed to provide essential first aid knowledge & skills, coupled with specialised training in safety while working at heights. The training also provided hands-on practical sessions in CPR administration. The participants also received instructions on use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), how to recognize signs of a heart attack, and how to properly respond to an emergency.

The training also included modules on burns, electrical shocks, and fire safety. More than 140 employees and staff attended the training at K-RIDE. The programme encouraged everyone to stay alert and be aware of their surroundings. The training concluded with an emergency simulation to test the officials’ skills and knowledge. The officials performed well in the simulation and were commended for their hard work and dedication.
The training significantly helped not just to enhance the preparedness and safety culture within the organization but also to inculcate emergency response capability.
