Kriti argued that while Bollywood faced a challenging period, the industry is bouncing back stronger than ever. She highlighted how audiences’ expectations have evolved, noting that what once was considered a significant box office achievement is now the norm. “Earlier, if a film earned ₹100 crore, it would be a big deal. Now, ₹100 crore is nothing. So, the expectation has gone somewhere else only. There was a phase when it (Bollywood) was not thriving, but now theatres are back and how,” she explained.
Sanon cited her own films, Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, as examples of Bollywood’s resurgence. Rapper-singer Badshah, who was also a guest on the podcast, agreed with Sanon’s views, reflecting on how the industry has learned from tough times and is now thriving. Both guests emphasized that the resilience of Bollywood is evident in its recent successes, marking a positive turnaround for the industry.
