Introduces additional special bus services from September 15 to 18
KSRTC has planned to deploy 1,200 extra vehicles to various locations
Karnataka’s state-run transport corporations are gearing up for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival rush by introducing special bus services from September 15 to 18. These services are aimed at accommodating the surge in passengers during this festive season.
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), a government-owned entity, has unveiled an array of special bus routes departing from Bengaluru, the state capital. These additional routes are designed to facilitate the increased demand for travel due to the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.
In an official statement, the corporation announced, “On the occasion of Gowri Ganesha festival, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will arrange special buses on September 15, 16, and 17, connecting Bengaluru to various destinations.”
Furthermore, the KSRTC has planned to deploy 1,200 extra vehicles from Kempegowda Bus Stand to multiple destinations, including Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangalore, Kundapur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubli, Dharwad, Belgaum, Vijayapur, Gokarna, Shirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Bellary, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar and Tirupati.
Additionally, arrangements have been made for return journeys to Bengaluru from various locations on September 18.
Besides the KSRTC, the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) is also contributing to the increased travel convenience during this festive period. They are set to operate over 500 additional buses from various locations between 15 and 18 September.
