KSRTC to operate 2,000 extra buses for Ugadi, Ramzan festive travel

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has announced the deployment of 2,000 additional buses to accommodate the increased travel demand during Ugadi and Ramzan. These special services will operate from March 28 to March 30, 2025, from Bengaluru to various destinations across Karnataka and neighboring states. Return services to Bengaluru are scheduled for March 31.

The extra buses will be available from key city terminals, including Kempegowda Bus Station, Mysuru Road Bus Station, and Shanthinagar BMTC Bus Station.

Passengers departing from Kempegowda Bus Station can avail of services to destinations such as Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Hubballi, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Ballari, and Hyderabad. Mysuru Road Bus Station will serve routes to Mysuru, Virajpet, and Madikeri, while Shanthinagar BMTC Bus Station will operate premium buses to cities in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, and Kozhikode.

To facilitate easy ticket reservations, KSRTC has enabled online bookings through its official website. Passengers can also secure tickets at booking counters in Karnataka and neighboring states. Special discounts are available, with a 5% reduction for bookings of four or more tickets and a 10% discount on return fares for round-trip reservations.

KSRTC has assured that detailed schedules and departure points will be available online and on tickets, with additional buses arranged from district and taluk bus stations based on demand.
