The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will deploy an additional 2,000 buses from Bengaluru to various destinations from October 30 to November 1 to accommodate the increased passenger demand for Deepavali, officials announced recently. Following the festival, return services will operate from numerous intra- and inter-state locations back to Bengaluru on November 3 and 4.

Special buses will depart from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Bus Station and head to popular destinations including Dharmastala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Shringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppala, Yadgir, Bidar, and more.
Long-distance options also include routes to Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Hyderabad.
For those heading towards Mysuru and neighboring towns, special services will depart from Mysuru Road Bus Station with destinations including Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar, and Mercara.
Additional premium buses will operate from Shanthinagar (TTMC) to major cities in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, such as Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, and Calicut.
The KSRTC has also planned services from taluk and district bus stations, adjusting to local traffic needs to ensure smooth and convenient travel options during the festive period.
