KSRTC wins Asia’s best brand employer award

The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has bagged an award for being Asia’s best brand employer under the category of “Organisation with innovative Human Resource (HR) practice” in the 14th edition of the 18th Brand Congress. The award would be conferred in Singapore on August 17th. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has released a public statement with regard to this. 

Recently Transport minister Ramalinga Reddy had addressed a press conference in which he had stated that the delays in dispensing salaries by the previous government has been corrected by the present ruling dispensation. He had also provided a breakdown of the collections for KSRTC after the implementation of the Shakti scheme. Post implementation an increase of 25 lakh passengers was witnessed. 59.55 lakh among them have been women. The cumulative travel by women between June and August amounts to 32.16 crore and the net amount of the expenditure on their tickets amounts to 749.30 crore.
