The tenth edition of ‘Cartoonu Habba’ is underway in the Kalamandira at the Board High School in the Kundapura town in the Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka. It is a space for cartoonists to exhibit their work. It is also a space for students and young professionals to get an initiation into the field and understand the effort and work that is required for making editorial cartoons.

On December 10th which was the second day of the four day event, a 90 minute interactive and live cartooning session was held. Famous cartoonists such as Satish Acharya, Sandeep Adhwaryu, Panju Ganguli and Sajith Kumar participated in the event. “There is a huge machinery to promote the good things that a government does. To paint everything as good and promote it. Our job as a cartoonist and even journalists and public is to question the government. It does not indicate hate for anyone. We just want accountability,” cartoonist Satish Acharya said during the discussion.
