Last nail in the coffin for Darshan? Guards who witnessed Renukaswamy’s attack & his body disposal testify before court

With more than a week since the arrest of Darshan and his cohort in relation to the murder of Renukaswamy, the police have collected a lot of evidence, from CCTV footage to the rod used to harass the victim.

Now, as the case progresses, two security guards have recorded their statements before a magistrate under Section 164 of the CrPC. 

These two security guards - one right outside the RR Nagar shed where the assault took place and two, the one who saw the body being disposed of in a drain - gave their statements. 

These statements will be of paramount value in indicting and incriminating Darshan’s role in the entire episode. 

It may be recalled that Darshan had orchestrated the kidnap plot of Renukaswamy in which he had been surreptitiously brought to Bengaluru’s RR Nagar. There, he was led into a shed in which around 19 accused beat up Darshan black and blue. It is even reported that he was electrocuted.  

Later, his body was disposed of in a drain. As many as four accused surrendered on the pretext of murdering Renukaswamy for financial fraud. 

Darshan is A2 in the case while Pavitra Gowda is A1 in the case. \
