Nearly 20 years after actress Soundarya’s tragic death in a helicopter crash on April 17, 2004, fresh allegations have surfaced, claiming her demise was not an accident but a planned murder. A complaint has been filed against veteran actor Mohan Babu, accusing him of illegally encroaching upon six acres of land owned by Soundarya and being involved in her death.

Reacting to these allegations, Soundarya’s husband, Raghu, has strongly denied any wrongdoing by Mohan Babu. "All the accusations against Mohan Babu are completely false. There was no land transaction between Soundarya and him. He did not illegally acquire any property from my wife," Raghu stated.
He further emphasized his long-standing friendship with Mohan Babu, saying, "I have known him for 25 years, and we share mutual respect and trust. My wife, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law also held him in high regard. I urge people to stop spreading false news."
The complaint was filed by Chittibabu from Khammam district, Telangana. He claims that the township near Jalpalli, Hyderabad, where Mohan Babu resides, belongs to Soundarya. He has demanded that Mohan Babu vacate the land immediately.
Soundarya, who last acted in Shiv Shankar alongside Mohan Babu, had reportedly purchased six acres of land near Jalpalli. According to the complaint, Mohan Babu had offered to buy the land, but Soundarya refused. This led to allegations that he conspired in her death.
