According to the survivor, Narendra initially befriended her by offering academic support and later assaulted her at a friend’s apartment in Marathahalli. He allegedly used emotional manipulation, followed by blackmail using photos and private conversations. Later, Sandeep also assaulted the student, threatening to expose her images. Anoop, the third accused, allegedly raped her while warning her about surveillance footage.

The survivor disclosed her ordeal to her family, who supported her in approaching the Women’s Commission. Following counseling, a case was filed at the Marathahalli police station on July 5. All three accused were arrested, and an investigation is underway.

Police are also probing whether more students were targeted using similar methods. The Commission commended the student’s courage and confirmed she is safe and continuing her education.

Officials stressed the importance of institutional accountability and assured a thorough inquiry.
