In a rare and unconventional wedding, a Thai woman married two Austrian men in a single ceremony, drawing widespread attention both nationally and internationally. Duangduan Ketsaro, 37, tied the knot with her partners Roman and Macky on February 28 in Thailand’s Prakhon Chai district.

Roman, a retired Austrian police officer, was Duangduan’s first partner, with whom she lived for five years after meeting him while working in Pattaya. Later, she met Macky, an Austrian police officer, and the two began dating. The trio openly discussed their relationship and eventually decided to build a life together.

The ceremony was simple and traditional, attended by close friends and family. Remarkably, Duangduan’s parents and children approved of the arrangement, with her mother expressing satisfaction as long as her daughter is happy and cared for. Both men reportedly transferred 1 million baht (around ₹30 lakh) each as dowry.

Duangduan, a former independent singer-songwriter, had previously been married and has three children. After her music career faltered, she worked in Pattaya to support her parents, daughters, and grandchildren. It was during this period that she met Roman and later Macky, leading to the unusual union.

Her mother, aged 61, said she had witnessed her daughter’s struggles over the years and was relieved to see her finally settled. Duangduan herself emphasized that her family accepted the relationship after consultations, noting that both men had shown care and support for her loved ones.

The wedding has sparked conversations about unconventional relationships and cultural acceptance, with Duangduan’s story standing out as an example of mutual understanding and family approval in an atypical marital arrangement.
