Prime Minister Modi arrived in Mysuru and engaged with a massive gathering, rallying support for BJP and JD(S) contenders across Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, and Hassan Lok Sabha constituencies.

He addressed a vibrant gathering of over 80,000 people that unfolded at Mysuru’s Maharaja College grounds.

Addressing the vibrant gathering, PM Modi made his opening remarks by expressing his gratitude to HD Devegowda as the senior most politician in the country’s political landscape.

He said, BJP released “Sankalp Patra” today and this Sankalp Patra is Modi’s guarantee. BJP promises to create 3 crore “Lakpathi didis” (Millionaire sisters) and implement all its promises made in Sankalp Patra if it is elected to power, he said.

Calling upon people at the gathering, he said BJP derives its power from their votes and called upon them to vote for NDA. Praising the state, he said, Karnataka is the cultural capital of the country.

Taking a jibe at Congress, he said Congress has emptied its government’s treasury and is immersed in corruption. Karnataka has become an ATM state for Congress and black money is being distributed by Congress across the country by looting the state’s resources, he said.

Former India PM HD Devegowda, who addressed the gathering before Modi’s address, criticised the five guarantee schemes of the Congress government. “It was I who urged HD Kumaraswamy to join the forces of Narendra Modi,” he said while praising PM Modi at the gathering. He called upon people to vote for PM Modi’s NDA for the third time and help it win over 400 seats in this elections, for which the people of Karnataka must help NDA win at least 24 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka.
