Dr C.N Manjunath will be contesting against D.K Suresh
DK Shivakumar hinted at DV Sadananda Gowda joining Congress
Anyone who accepts the ideology of INC is welcome: DK Shivakumar
Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka DK Shivakumar remarked that fielding the son-in-law of the former Prime Minister of India Deve Gowda from a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket in the Bengaluru Rural constituency is akin to a suicide attempt from the Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)). Dr C.N Manjunath will be contesting against the current Member of Parliament (M.P) D.K Suresh in the Bengaluru Rural constituency. “I anticipated this. This has caused embarrassment for their party. They have experienced legislators. The BJP needed their strength. This is BJP’s pattern in every state. This is however their internal matter. I wouldn’t dwell too deep into it,” DK Shivakumar said.
DK Shivakumar also talked about the prospect of DV Sadananda Gowda joining the Indian National Congress (INC). “It is not uncommon for those who have missed out on a ticket to change sides. We had earlier given tickets to Laxman Savadi and Jagadish Sheetar. We have given tickets to Ayanur Manjunath and MP Kumaraswamy from the JD(S). This is natural in politics. No political party can hide this. Anyone who accepts the ideology of INC is welcome. We cannot publicise our strategy,” DK Shivakumar highlighted.
