Luv Sinha explains why he wasn’t present during Sonakshi’s wedding with Zaheer Iqbal

Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha got married to actor Zaheer Iqbal on 23rd June. Her brother actor-cum Indian National Congress (INC) leader Luv Sinha however wasn’t part of the celebrations. Luv took to the microblogging site X (formerly known as Twitter) to throw light on the reasons for his decision. “Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first,” Luv stated while sharing an article from The Telegraph that had open ended questions about Zaheer and his family.

Sonakshi and Zaheer had reportedly been in a relationship for close to 7 years. The article however threw light on Zaheer’s father’s close relationship to a politician against whom an ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) was dropped under mysterious circumstances. Questions were also raised on Zaheer’s father’s tenure in Dubai. Speculations about the role of a superstar who’s said to have connections across influential circles in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were made. “The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what,” Luv added.  He also attacked the media for relying on stories pushed by the PR agencies.
